Red River Cultural District, January 3 & 4

This annual tradition offers music enthusiasts complimentary access to performances by numerous local bands across various venues. It's an excellent opportunity to discover emerging talent in the Live Music Capital of the World. 

 

'Come From Away'

Bass Concert Hall, January 4 & 5

This Tony Award-winning musical narrates the true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small Newfoundland town that welcomed them during a time of crisis. The production is renowned for its uplifting message and captivating performances. 

 

Salvador Dalí Exhibition

West Chelsea Contemporary, January 11 - February 2

Art aficionados can immerse themselves in 'Salvador Dalí: Masterpieces from the Argillet Collection Archives.' The exhibition features over 100 hand-colored etchings and debuts previously unexhibited originals, providing a deep dive into Dalí’s surrealist world.

Austin International Half Marathon

January 19

Runners will take to the streets for this annual event, celebrated for its predominantly downhill course that winds through north Austin and concludes near the Texas State Capitol. It's a favored race for both seasoned runners and newcomers aiming for personal bests. 

 

Martin Luther King Jr. March and Festival

January 20

The community is invited to honor Dr. King's legacy by participating in a march from the University of Texas campus to Huston-Tillotson University, culminating in a vibrant festival celebrating his enduring impact.

 

Hi, How Are You Day Concert

Paramount Theatre, January 24

This annual event celebrates the life and legacy of Daniel Johnston while advocating for mental health awareness. Join Andrew Bird and Madison Cunningham as they perform solo sets before coming together as CUNNINGHAM BIRD. Proceeds support open conversations around mental well-being.

 

10th Annual TRIBEZA Interiors Tour
